Horse Shoes: The ultimate achievement is to toss the horseshoe and “RING” the steel stackpole.
Puc Fada:The ‘PucFada’ is a traditional Irish game. It is derived from the Irish game ‘Hurling’ The participant is required to either hit the sliotar(ball)as far as possible with the hurley, keeping it within the boundaries, or follow a given route while keeping the sliotar on the hurley! Great fun!
Turf Stacking: One of the most popular versions of this activity is to stack the highest pile of turf on a circular base, within the given time.
Wheel barrow Racing: Manoeuvre the barrow (complete with bale of hay) through the obstacle course. Fastest team of all wins the all important points!
Wellie Throwing:Throw the ole Wellie as far as you can to gain the points. Or for more points, get them into the barrels –not as easy as it seems!
Nail Banging: Sounds so simple, but banging nails into a tree takes more skill than you realise! Give it a try!
Celtic Cross:Replicate the old Irish Cross using the given shapes.
Toss the Sheaf: Throwing bags of hay –the more you get the higher the points. Bonus points on offer here!
Ropes: Come undone! Get yourself into knots by trying to free yourselffrom your ‘partner’ –great fun and so simple when you know how!
Brian Boru’s March: Often used as a finale, this one takes great teamwork, leadership and working in tandem to cross the line first. Cheer on your winning team!
