The Vintage Crop Bar - Hotel

As Kildare is rich in equestrian history, it is only fitting that our cocktail bar be named after Dr. Michael Smurfit's' great Irish gelding, 'Vintage Crop', winner of the 1993 Melbourne Gold Cup, 1993 and 1994 Jefferson Smurfit Memorial Irish St Leger. This was the first Irish horse to surpass one million pounds in winnings.

The sumptuous bar and balcony area overlook the wonderfully manicured lawns, adorned by a host of specimen trees such as great Irish Oak, Yew and Western Red Cedar.

International Spirits & Liqueurs

Spirits, fine wines and liqueurs from all over the world plus premium champagne and Cuban cigars are show cased in this magnificent rich mahogany bar. The walls are decorated with racing trophies and memorabilia from 'Vintage Crop' and 'Media Puzzle' another Melbourne Gold Cup winner in 2002 from the stables of Dr. Smurfit. The Vintage Crop Bar is ideal for that Long Drink in the afternoon, pre-dinner cocktails or that very special after dinner digestive.

Cigar Selection: A very fine selection of Cuban cigars is available from Cohiba to Montecristo to Romeo Y Julieta. The highlight of our cigars is the specially commissioned humidor, a miniature of the hotel created by Viscount Lingley, nephew of the Queen of England, who specialises in miniature reproduction. This masterpiece incorporates woods such as Maple, Holly, Dark Sycamore, Cedar and Mahogany.

Legends Bar - Palmer Clubhouse

Legends bar and terrace area is located on the upper level of the Clubhouse, with majestic views overlooking the 18th Green of the course which was home for the Ryder Cup 2006. This open plan bar area is decorated with memorabilia from many of the great golf Legends, and makes it an ideal place to relax before dining

This bar is an ideal place to relax and have cocktails before lunch or dinner, or unwind after a game of golf. An extensive selection of drinks is available accompanied by a mouth watering bar snacks menu. We supply a vast selection of wines from all over the world together with an extensive selection of Cuban cigars.

The Bar – Smurfit Clubhouse

Situated on the first floor of the Smurfit Clubhouse, with a Panoramanic view of 18th fairway, Island green and the Ladycastle Private Estate. This magnificent wood panel bar is adorned with golf memorabilia and elegance. This very spacious bar with a canopy balcony is just the area to relax and unwind after that challenging round of golf.
