Sotheby's - Antiques Roadshow

Highlights from Sotheby's forthcoming Jewellery sale were on display. Justin Roberts and Nicholas Sokolow of Sotheby's was available to value paintings on the Friday and jewellery and paintings on the Saturday and Sunday with no obligation over the course of the event.

The Luxury Collection presented some of Ireland’s leading artists who showcased the latest movements in contemporary art in powerful architectural environments designed to serve both seasoned and emerging collectors.

The Luxury Collection was everything an internationally acclaimed event should be – exclusive, extravagant and full to the brim of fabulous classic cars, motorcycles, glamour yachts, deluxe helicopters and aircraft.

Prestige Cars

The Luxury Collection in association with Charles Hurst Specialist Cars featured an elite group of super and prestige car manufacturers including Ferrari, Maserati, Bentley, all displaying their latest and most expensive models. Many of the cars on display were rarely seen; only making appearances at the most exclusive of events.

Yachts

Crownline Yachts displayed and represented the world’s leading sailboat and powerboat brands.

Aircraft

Atron was onsite representing the Cessna Aircraft Company and Eurocopter in Ireland. They specialise in the areas of Aircraft and Helicopter Sales, Support and Air Charter in Ireland.

Helicopters

European Helicopter Academy is a nationally accredited flight school approved by the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) and Europe's Joint Aviation Authority (JAA). Links Helicopters are a private firm offering helicopter charters to corporate and private clients throughout Ireland.

Harley Davidson Motorcycles

Harley Davidson showcased the ultimate in motorbikes ensuring long haul luxury for rider and passenger. A legendary marque reflecting timeless style and the ultimate self expression of contemporary design, together with the finest traditional values.

Civilised Exploration & Travel

For the ultimate in traval itineraries and luxury destinations award winning
bespoke travel company Civilised Exploration & Travel was onhand to offer personalised travel
backed by professionals and experienced travel guides.

INTERIORS

Fabulous international companies related to lifestyle and interior designs were taking part in the Luxury Collection at the K Club. Scavolini, the exclusive kitchen brand at the Luxury Collection and undisputed leader in Italy proved a sensation. A range of pieces previously unavailable within the Irish market were presented by artists and designers. Digital Home Entertainment Systems were also featured.

JEWELLERY & FASHION

For the uninitiated The Luxury Collection was a stylish affair! On Saturday, 11th October, Boodles Ladies Day created an added incentive to ladies attending The Luxury Collection to showcase their most glamorous outfits. The winning lady took home an incredible Boodles piece valued at €10,000. A second prize worth €5000 was sponsored by The K Club.

PRIZE WINNERS
A delighted Ann Marie McManus, daughter-in-law of business tycoon JP McManus, was delighted to be presented a Boodles diamond ring worth €10,000 after turning heads at the Luxury Collection in the K-Club. Stunning in a Chanel ensemble, she stole the coveted Best Dressed Lady prize at the Boodles Ladies day.

Judged by Dee Breen of Harvey Nichols and Kirstie Wainwright second place of a luxury weekend at the Kildare hotel went to Cork local Debbie Hart and third prize was won by jewellery designer Rebecca Davis, wearing a stunning Ben Di Lisi dress she teamed with pieces from her own collection.

Mr Larry Cunningham won the two night stay with dinner in The K Club Prize Draw.

Boodles - London & Dublin

Boodles are one of the world’s finest jewellers specialising in the creation of the best of contemporary design, together with the finest traditional values. Boodles displayed their exquisite Wonderland Collection which featured fourteen pieces inspired by Boodles’ exploration of beauty, fashioned out of the earth’s most precious natural resources.

Fashion

The Luxury Collection was delighted to host an exclusive fashion event with Harvey Nichols. Harvey Nichols is an international luxury lifestyle store, renowned both in the UK and internationally for the breadth and depth of its exclusive fashion merchandise.

The Harvey Nichols Autumn Winter 2008 Collections were showcased on Saturday October 11th at The Luxury Collection at The K Club.

Chesneau, Ireland’s leading luxury leather goods house and Accessories Designer of the year Motorola Dublin Fashion Week presented their extensive range of accessories including delightful clutches, wristlets, briefcases and travel bags. Chesneau blends traditional craftsmanship, classical design and technical innovation to produce luxury goods of timeless elegance.

On display was the No.1 Perfume is The World’s Most Expensive Perfume – created by Clive Christian to restore absolute luxury to the world of perfume. No.1 Imperial Majesty is the ultimate presentation of that perfume. Clive was presented with a unique award at the 2006 UK FiFi awards for his ‘No.1 Imperial Majesty’ to mark its place in the world of perfume - this had never been awarded before, nor has it since.

Laurent-Perrier Champagne

Founded in 1812, Laurent-Perrier has been avant-garde in creating unique and elegant champagnes for nearly 200 years making it one of the world's most famous chamapgne brands. Visitors to launch of The 2008 Luxury Collection were treated to complimentary Laurent-Perrier Champagne.
