From the airy reception area and relaxing juicebar and café, to the huge swimming pool, secluded outdoor hot tub and Zen garden, the 11 luxurious private treatment rooms and a range of products unique in Ireland, pampering has reached a new plateau at the 20,000 square-foot K Spa.

The aim of The K Spa is bring guests on a journey ‘where even time seems to hush’, in a series of holistic treatments that relieve stress, boost energy and offer a sanctuary from the tribulations of daily life.

For the more energetic, the gymnasium is fully equipped with treadmills, rowing machines, static bikes, cardio machines, free weights, strength machines and personal LCD TV screens on most machines. Personal trainers are at hand to advise on individual programmes and there are group classes in Pilates and yoga.
The 16.5m pool offers resistance swimming, massage jets and Jacuzzi, and the luxurious changing rooms offer separate sauna and steam room facilities for men and women.
Specially imported pedicure thrones feature heated seats that gently massage the back as the feet are rejuvenated in the whirlpool foot spa.
Two treatment rooms, designed for friends or couples, have private facilities and side-by-side treatment tables, for a fabulous shared experience of nurturing and care. The Ash Suite has its own Jacuzzi while the Oak Suite has a magnificent king’s bath, a tub made in brass but with the modern technology of air jets which, with complementary bath additives to choose from, make this an unforgettable experience. For total indulgence, a milk bath is available, and the Oak Suite also has private sauna and shower facilities.
Next door, the rasul room is an exotic delight combining light, music, steam and mud in an enchanting therapeutic experience. Rasul replenishes the body and spirit simultaneously.
Relaxing beneath a canopy of a thousand starlights, guests are seated into sunken thrones as the ceremony begins. Various muds are applied to different areas of the body and, as they inhale the steam infused with pure herbs, they feel immediate benefits in the skin and respiratory system as the steam detoxifies the body. The ritual ends with a tropical rain shower that washes away the mud and all the tensions it has absorbed.

Carita
Originally created by two Spanish sisters, this product range has developed into an exclusive global beauty brand. Carita Paris La maison de beauté uses plant-based origins linked to biotechnology to make their advanced formulations and unique treatments highly effective. Manual massage and drainage techniques, combined with the use of a pro-lifting machine, ensure radiant results.
Uspa
An Australian range of simple sophistication. These products are made from natural and botanical ingredients such as ginseng, wild thyme, mandarin and camelia. All Uspa treatments are pampering exotic rituals inspired by many cultures, delivering visible results whilst therapeutically harmonising body and mind. Dr Hauschka

The holistic preparations are made from plants and herbs that are hand picked and harvested at specific times of the day, capturing the plants vitality at its best. Medex
This Dutch product range uses natural, as well as science-based, ingredients to achieve a very effective result in all treatments. The company initially set out to create a range for acne and problematic skin but soon developed into a complete skin and body line due to its great success. Each treatment is prescribed personally, dealing with specific concerns.
The treatments on offer across the product range include facials, exfoliations, wraps, massage, alternative therapies (such as reiki, hot stone, Indian head massage and aromatherapy), water treatments, hamam and grooming.
There are special packages for men, including deep muscle-relaxing therapies such as massage and balneotherapy, ideal after a day on the golf course.
The balneotherapy programme also includes aromatherapy, algotherapy (where sea algae is added to the hydrotherapy tub to eliminate toxins and excess fluid), thalassotherapy (a soak in pure sea salts that is particularly soothing for overworked muscles) and the simple but invigorating delight of a shower in soft Vichy water, ideal when taken with a simultaneous massage under the gentle jets.
The K Spa offers a range of packages for day and residential guests, including the very popular Four Girls package. From €270 per person, it includes exclusive use of the Ash Suite, where the session starts with a Jacuzzi and scrub. That is followed by rasul for four, then massage, facial and manicure or pedicure.
